The technology Flash is quite an amiable one for game programs due to its features. Games that are made using this technology, have the features of high quality sound, fantastic pictures and also come with marvelous interfaces.
Playing games with agreed upon rules helps children learn to live by rules, establish the delicate balance between competition and cooperation, between fair play and justice and exploitation and abuse of these for personal gain. It helps them learn to manage the warmth of winning and the hurt of losing; it helps them to believe that there will be another chance to win the next time.
—James P. Comer (20th century)
A normal human being would always like to play an online game which starts with the minimum number of clicks on the button of a mouse or that of a keyboard. He also enjoys the game if it has simple controls. Games are meant for the basic aim of providing enjoyment to the user and hence long instruction pages are not a desirable feature for them.
If the above reasons are compared with the features which are present in Flash games, then the reason for their fame among the common public assumes a clear picture. The interfaces of these games are simple enough to enable the game to start quickly and hence the person need to give the signal of irritation in the form of frowns while he is sitting and glaring at the screen of his PC. Regardless of the genres to which these games belong to, the controls are always simple and are patterned on the lines of conventional arrow keys or WASD key controls which the user is familiar with. The storyboard of the games is simple and if the need of being complex is inevitable, then the stories are presented before the users in the form of animated short movies before the start of the games. This further gives an overall idea about the game to a user that he/she is about to play.
As I was leaving the Irishmans roof after the rain, bending my steps again to the pond, my haste to catch pickerel ... appeared for an instant trivial to me who had been sent to school and college; but as I ran down the hill toward the reddening west ... my Good Genius seemed to say,Go fish and hunt far and wide day by day, farther and wider, and rest thee by many brooks and hearth-sides without misgiving. Remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth. Rise free from care before the dawn, and seek adventures. Let the noon find thee other lakes, and night overtake thee everywhere at home. There are no larger fields than these, no worthier games than may here be played. Grow wild according to thy nature.
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
